How To Send WooCommerce Newsletters Using Automation Tool

It is not just time-consuming if you send newsletters manually. You would struggle with tracking your results and limited personalization and scalability.

For your WooCommerce newsletters to stand out, they require a strategic touch with the help of newsletter plugins

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the essential steps of sending newsletters in WooCommerce using a powerful plugin. No more guessing games. We’ll provide you with detailed step-by-step instructions to automate newsletters and reach your audience at the perfect time, resulting in the desired engagement and conversion rates.

Let’s dive in to find out the easy steps to send newsletters in WooCommerce.

What is a WooCommerce Newsletter?

WooCommerce newsletters are an email marketing strategy that allows store owners to deliver updates, promotions, and product information to their subscribers. They act as a dynamic tool to engage the audience, nurture customer relationships, and drive sales.

You can use a dedicated WordPress newsletter plugin designed to integrate seamlessly with WooCommerce. These plugins help automate, personalize, and track performance.

Why should you send WooCommerce newsletters to your customers?

Sending WooCommerce newsletters to your customers is essential for several reasons:

  • Customer Engagement: Newsletters keep your customers engaged by updating them on new products, promotions, and company news. Regular communication helps build a stronger connection with your audience.
  • Promotion and Sales: Sending newsletters highlighting exclusive deals encourages repeat purchases and attracts customers to your WooCommerce store.
  • Brand Loyalty: When you send newsletters regularly, it helps foster brand loyalty. When customers feel connected and valued, they are more likely to remain loyal and choose your WooCommerce store over competitors.
  • Customer Retention: By staying in touch with your existing customer base, you increase the likelihood of future purchases, reduce churn, and maximize customer lifetime value.
  • Feedback and Surveys: Newsletters can include surveys or requests for feedback, allowing you to gather valuable insights from your customers. Understanding their opinions helps you improve the overall shopping experience.

How do I send a newsletter in WooCommerce?

There are two ways to create and customize newsletters in WooCommerce.

  1. Using the default way
  2. Using an email marketing tool

Let me walk you through both so that you can understand their pros and cons and make an informed decision.

Using the default way

Go to WooCommerce -> Settings -> Emails -> You can see the list of default emails available.

When you scroll down, you’ll find fields to edit your email template. You can customize anything from “from name, from address, header image (i.e., logo), footer text, base color, background color, body background color, body text color.”

personalization

Click on Save Changes at the end.

This is all you can basically customize with an email in the default WooCommerce method.

For further customization in WooCommerce, it requires coding knowledge.

So, we understand if you want a much deeper personalization with easier steps. You can always install Retainful to get the most out of customization and automation.

Step 6: Click on Preview to take a look at your template. Save and Close

Step 7: Click on save & next, and you’ll be taken to choose the recipients from your email list. You can choose to send it to all contacts, or you can choose a list or segment and select save & next.

A quick note: The list is a static email list, and the segment is a dynamic one.

Imagine segmenting based on purchase history – with a ‘list,’ recipients are filtered once, but it stays fixed. Opt for ‘segment,’ and your list evolves every time someone meets the purchase history criteria you initially set.

You can configure this in the list and segments section in the Retainful Dashboard.
